Funeral services for Mr. James H. Walker, age 90, of Heflin were held January 28, 2008, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grover Robinson and Rev. Jerry Mac Pritchard officiating. Burial followed at Heflin City Cemetery. Mr. Walker is survived by his sister, Opaline Roach, of Whitesburg, Ga.; two brothers, Fornie Walker, of Heflin, and Billy Royce Walker, of Centre; special caregivers, Grover and Marie Robinson; friend and caregiver, Katherine McBryde. Pallbearers were family and friends. Mr. Walker was a native and lifelong resident of Cleburne County. He was a veteran of WWII and Korea. He was also a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Walker was a member of American Legion Post 19 and VFW Post 4626. He was a born again Christian. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Walker.
