Sunshine List
Mildred Bragg called me this week to tell me that she was back to her "regular" self and we can drop her from our list. As a matter of fact, on the day she called me, she had worked in her yard all day! What a pleasure it is to take her off. Don't forget Mildred, and continue to remember these people!

For A Day
If you missed the celebration of Cora Beason last Sunday, you missed a treat. The turnout had to have exceeded her daughter's (Susan Brimer) wildest expectations! My best estimation of the number of attendees would be about a million people ... well it looked like that many! Seriously, it was a wonderful event for a lady who truly deserves all the accolades she gets! Cora is living proof (90 years) that if you live by the Golden Rule, you will rejoice in celebration with all of those people that you touched with your kindness.
Did you know?
1. The most played song on the radio in the twentieth century was You've Lost That Loving Feeling. It is estimated that it was played over 8 million times on the radio. Three songs were played over 7 million times. They were Never My Love, Yesterday and Stand By Me ... in that order!
2. The characters, Bert and Ernie, of Sesame Street fame were named for Bert the cop and Ernie the cab driver in Frank Capra's Christmas classic; It's A Wonderful Life.
3. Mel Blanc who created and was the voice of Bugs Bunny was allergic to carrots.
Now you know!

Until next week ... remember ... In this world, there are two kinds of people. There are TAKERS and there are GIVERS. The TAKERS probably eat better, but the GIVERS most certainly sleep better!
