Water board opens bids on Phase II

The Cleburne County Water Board opened bids Wednesday morning on Phase II of their on-going expansion in the southern half of the county.
Phase II will include areas south of I-20 and Hwy 46 eastward.
Five companies bid on the water line and pump station. They were Strain Construction, Patterson & Wilder Construction, Russo Corporation, Rockdale Pipeline Inc. and T. J. Construction.
T. J. Construction was the apparent low bidder of $8,245,513.21.
Bidding on the water tank were Southeastern, Advance Tank, Crum Corp. and Fisher Tank.
Crum was the apparent low bidder of $1,600,965.
