Child safety day planned

04-21-2008

Eighty-two percent of child car seats are installed improperly so State Farm is hosting Child Safety Days across Alabama to ensure seats are properly installed for children’s safety
State Farm the nation’s and Alabama’s largest automobile insurer is hosting their Eight Annual Child Safety Day. Certified technicians will be present at each location to check booster and child safety seats for proper installation, recalls and damage. Technicians will make needed revisions to ensure all seats are installed correctly and are in proper working condition at no charge.
Those accompanying children to the events will have the opportunity to learn more about Alabama’s law regarding child safety seats, proper placement of safety seats and at what age to move children from a child safety seat to a booster seat to and then to safety belts.
Child Safety Day will be held locally May 7 in Heflin at the Kiddie Kastle
