The Loyd P. Owens family has set up a scholarship fund at the Auburn University College of Agriculture. A scholarship shall be awarded each year to an Auburn University student or incoming student who has a minimum GPA of 2.5 and is pursuing a degree in horticulture. Preference will be given to students from Clay and Cleburne counties majoring in ornamental horticulture. Anyone wishing to make a donation toward this scholarship fund can make their check payable to Auburn University Foundation for the Loyd Owens Scholarship.
