Clinic introduces optometric services

Sarrell Regional Dental/Eye Center would like to welcome Dr. John Clasen to their Heflin team. Dr. Clasen graduated from the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelors of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology in 1984. Dr. Clasen then finished his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1996. He then did a residency in Family Practice in Optometry in 1997 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Clasen has practiced Optometry for the past 11 years. He has been working with a distinguished Ophthalmology practice in Birmingham for the past five years before joining the Sarrell Regional Eye Center’s full-time Optometry Team. “We welcome Dr. Clasen to our team and the community; I think he will be a great fit for Cleburne County. We like to hire local graduates like Dr. Clasen, because they usually seem to be a better fit. The other two staff members of the Eye Center are also locally raised individuals. Erin Swanson-Bonilla, the manager of Sarrell Regional Eye Center is a graduate of Oxford High School and Jacksonville State University and Nancy Morgan is really a local girl, she grew up and graduated from Ranburne High School and is also a graduate of Jacksonville State University. It is important to us that we hire college graduates from within the state.” says, Brandi Mangum, Director of Marketing for Sarrell Regional Dental/Eye Center. Dr. Clasen and his team at Sarrell Regional Eye Center are seeing patients Monday-Thursday form 8:00am to 5:00pm. They accept Medicaid and All-Kids, as well as most other insurances.
